SEMI- ANNUAL WATER RATES - effective July 1, 2025

Water bills are issued on a semi-annual basis in January & July. Bills are due 30 days from billing date. Interest accrues at a rate of 14% annually for past due balances. All bill disputes must be initiated within 30 days of receipt.

Payments may be made in person at the Town Hall or Water Works Office. We accept cash, check or credit card; please note that there is a 3% processing fee for all credit card payments. After-hours drop boxes are also available at both locations. Pay online by clicking here. Electronic email or text reminders and automatic payments are available through this option.

Delinquent Account Policy: Past dues bills will be assessed a late fee ($15) after 30 days; demand fee ($25) after 60 days. They may also be subject to Lien (with fee) on Real Estate Tax bills in accordance with Massachusetts General Law.

Base Charge: $300.00 (includes 20,000.00 gallons) 

The following abatement rates can be applied for by contacting the office of the Town Assessor:

Veteran’s Rate: Base Charge: $175.00 (includes 20,000.00 gallons) *Must qualify for tax abatement under M.G.L. 59, cl 22

Life-Line Rate: Base Charge: $50.00 (includes 20,000.00 gallons) *Must qualify for tax abatement under M.G.L. 59, sec 41C

Fire Sprinkler: $300.00 (not metered)

Excess Rates: Usage over 20,000.00 gallons (applies to all customers)

20,001 - 50,000 Gallons: $3.30 per 1,000 gallons

51,001 - 100,000 Gallons: $4.80 per 1,000 gallons

100,001 - 150,000 Gallons: $6.00 per 1,000 gallons

Over 150,000 Gallons: $6.60 per 1,000 gallons
