SHINE

The SHINE Program provides free health insurance information, counseling, and assistance to people who are eligible for Medicare and their caregivers.

We have 2 certified, trained SHINE counselors volunteering here at the Tiz COA who can work with you to help explore Medicare plan options and uncover ways to save money on both health insurance and prescription drug costs.

You can change your Medicare Plan after Open Enrollment.   Even though Medicare’s Annual Open Enrollment               ended, you may still have some options: 

     For those with Medicare Parts A and B (Original Medicare):  You can add a Medicare Supplement (Medigap Plan) at any time of the year in Massachusetts.   

     For those with a Medicare Advantage Plan (HMO or PPO):  Between January 1st and March 31st, you can drop your Medicare Advantage Plan, effectively switching back to Original Medicare.
